IIT Madras has partnered with Saptang Labs Pvt Ltd to develop an indigenous, innovative, and secure firewall solution using the Shakti processor. Shakti, an indigenously developed processor by IIT Madras, will be integrated with FPGA technologies to enhance network security and optimize processing efficiency. The project aims to fortify cryptographic capabilities and provide advanced threat protection by incorporating a Hardware Security Module (HSM) alongside the Shakti processor. This collaboration will deliver fully integrated hardware and software solution modules featuring packet filtering, intrusion detection, VPN support, and machine learning technologies. Additionally, detailed user manuals and technical documentation will be provided, along with relevant security certifications to validate the security and performance of the developed solution.
