IIT Madras and LG Soft India Pvt. Ltd. have entered into a strategic partnership to advance the fields of cybersecurity and hardware security. This collaboration focuses on two key initiatives. The first involves the development of an indigenous Hardware Security Module (HSM), aimed at ensuring robust cryptographic operations and data integrity. With a focus on Post Quantum Cryptography (PQC), the HSM will play a crucial role in securing embedded applications, IoT devices, cloud infrastructures, and blockchain systems. The second aspect of the project is the creation of an online framework for real-time security health assessment of edge devices. As IoT devices proliferate, this framework will incorporate a runtime monitor IP to detect vulnerabilities and provide a trust score for secure transmission to a remote server, enhancing the security of connected devices. This partnership highlights IIT Madras’ commitment to pioneering research and LG Soft India’s dedication to driving innovation in cybersecurity.
