General Instructions
This workshop features Hands-On training for which you are expected to bring your own laptop. Please ensure you execute the following instructions before coming to the workshop.
Go to the hedera portal and register for a Testnet account with your email. Note that for this workshop, you will need an ECDSA type account.
Ensure your password and your recovery phrase are saved on your system. The recovery phrase is always needed to recover your account if you lose your password!
Once you create an account and log in, you should see that your account is tagged as ECDSA and an indication below showing balance of 1000 HBARs (for the Testnet). You will also find your EVM address, HEX Encoded Private Key and other access tokens listed there. After this step, you will need to create your metamask wallet and link it to your testnet account:
