Our Mission
The mission of CyStar is to push the boundaries of cybersecurity through innovative research and education. We promote both fundamental and applied research that drives innovations to build trust and foster resilient societal development. We are dedicated to pioneering advancements in blockchain, distributed trust, cryptography, quantum security and IoT security, adhering to the highest standards of integrity, trust, inclusion, excellence and sustainability. Through education and consulting, we aim to empower society, and influence national policies.
Synergy of Excellence
CyStar is an integral part of IIT Madras, known for its excellence in basic and applied research, technical education, innovation, entrepreneurship and industrial consultancy. In many areas of technology and innovation, IIT Madras plays a pivotal advisory role to help construct national policies.
