Kshitij Deogade is a Senior Product Engineer at SecurSi, Prof. Chester Rebeiro’s startup, currently under IITM Pravartak. He is working on building applications on top of embedded devices like Raspberyy Pi, PCBs with SoC/FPGA. These applications include a secure communication protocol, program for integration of a UART sensor with embedded devices, porting of a good image recognition algorithm to a lower-level language, etc. Prior to this, he pursued an M.Eng from NTU Singapore in Cryptography and Computer Security, where he worked on porting a commercial algorithm to the post-quantum secure Homomorphic Encryption domain. His main education (B.Tech and M.Tech) is in Computer Science from IIT Madras, where he completed his M.Tech project under the guidance of Prof. Chester Rebeiro in an area at the intersection of System Security and Machine Learning – “Detecting and throttling Ransomwares in Linux Kernel”. In his free time, Kshitij indulges in music and movies, plays guitar and writes poems.
